Steve Tonkin Classics

Classic British replica racing motorcycle manufacturer

Brief:

To completely redesign original template based website and promote change in emphasis from classic bike restorer to classic bike replica manufacturer. The range of bikes are based upon British racing classic marques, with strong associations to British racing success from races such as the Isle of Man TT, and are aimed at enthusiasts who appreciate hand built bikes that have all of the racing pedigree of that time. The owner of the business, established restorer and himself a TT winner, Steve Tonkin, wanted a complete style change to reflect the aspirations of a growing and discerning global marketplace.

Concept:

To produce a shop window brochure style website that was instantly arresting and stylish to the viewer, drawing upon iconic motorcycle racing symbolism and nostalgia to appeal to a discerning worldwide market. The graphic style to merge iconic british racing symbolism with racers imagery, including that of Tonkin himself, to showcase the products in a way that emphasised their hand made build quality and unique attention to detail.

Once inside the site, the customer would be taken around a virtual showroom showcasing each model in detail, assisted by workshop and location photography demonstrating the bikes' attention to detail, improvements on original equipment and all important performance on the road. Much attention was also to be paid to Tonkin's history and racing pedigree and to be put together in magazine format, easy for visitors to navigate. With dynamic news and image galleries also adding to the strong visual appeal.

Because Steve was more interested in building bikes than working with IT technology, our brief included Original graphics and logo design, bespoke web design and site building, domain registration, site hosting, social media set up and integration, email hosting and forwarding, SEO, annual site maintenance contract including unlimited additions and changes where required.

Customers' comments:

"After I had commissioned a couple of web sites for my business in the past I felt that I was still lacking that special something. It was then recommended that I approach Clickspeed to redesign my complete site, and I can honestly say that this new site is by far the best one yet.
David and Henry kept me in touch with the process at every stage, with nothing being too much trouble. They have even set up a Facebook presence for me as I am not the best when it comes to Social Media.
I would certainly recommend Clickspeed, not only for the dedication they put into building my new website, but also for the cost which was certainly great value."

Milestones Calendar

TT calendar project

Brief:

To completely redesign website to promote the calendar project in an Art house style. Racheal Clegg, the originator of this long term project, wanted a very clean and crisp style of site to reflect the unique art photography featured throughout the calendars.

Herself a well known, and respected journalist, Racheal had very strong ideas about style that may best reflect her product, but needed help to achieve her vision. The site would require an easy to use e-commerce shopping facility, in order to sell calendars and limited edition prints online.

Concept:

To make the site graphically minimalist, placing great emphasis upon white space as in a modern gallery environment. To incorporate several dynamic elements including  video clips, social media integration, and e-commerce. To tell the story behind each image in an engaging modern graphic style, to encourage visitors to buy.

Our brief included Original graphics, bespoke web design and site building, domain registration, site hosting, social media set up and integration, E commerce, email hosting and forwarding, SEO, annual site maintenance contract including unlimited additions and changes where required.

Customers' comments:

"A very, very special thank you to the enduring patience, expertise, hawk-like observations and technical prowess of Clickspeed Photography, who built this site. David and Henry Traynor could not have been more helpful, more determined to make it work and more clued-up on all things web-related. I couldn't recommend them enough."

TOPGUN Racing

RAF Road Racing Team

Brief:

Produce original website to promote the racing team and and the wider work of the RAF in the community. To provide news items and updates to followers and racing fans, and grow awareness and increase sponsorship revenue for longterm sustainability of the team.

Working closely with team manager Sgt.. Adrian Cox M.B.E, and his team at the RAF, this was very much a ground up project. Original team graphics and logos were first of all required to evoke the amalgamation of Racing and Aviation heritage of the team. These in turn had to be carefully and delicately produced to avoid potential issues with copyright elements owned by organisations such as Paramount Pictures and the RAF/MOD.

Concept:

To make the site visually fast paced and exciting to visitors, emphasised throughout with their race logo and livery. As one of the team's aims is to offer true racing experience to a wide group of individuals, in-depth details of those involved in the team at every level were to be included. Unusually, in websites of this type, we decided to pay extra attention to sponsors, to provide far more background information for visitors that generally seen. This later paid dividends in securing better sponsorship through closer ties established through these enhanced on-line advertisements.

Fast paced and dynamic photography was required throughout, which we produced on location at the races contested on the Isle of Man, with additional location PR photography with the internationally renowned "blades" aerobatic display team, themselves also sponsored by the RAF Wings Appeal, and sporting the same livery colours as the TOPGUN Race team.

VIdeo footage and social media integration were included together with annual maintenance facility of the site, and in addition, promotional graphics and marketing  material throughout.

Customers' comments:

"We are absolutely thrilled with the service and dedication Clickspeed have given producing the Topgun Racing website. Their ideas and designs stand out from other websites we visited and have given us the professional image we wanted to portray.
Clickspeed are passionate about delivering to very high standards and satisfying their customers. The development of a good website certainly assists the team and is also beneficial to our sponsors as they receive additional recognition from the website exposure.
During our time working together building the site, we have found that nothing has been too much trouble and we feel that we started as business associates and have now become friends. A highly recommended Company and worth every penny. 10/10!"
